Tchaikovsky’s Pathetique Symphony - Oxford Concert Orchestra
The Oxford Concert Orchestra welcomes you to our inaugural concert in the wonderful Sheldonian theatre.
We are an exciting orchestra of players selected from the top amateur and student ensembles in and around Oxford.
In our concert we will be playing Tchaikovsky's magnificent and tragic 6th Symphony which has firmly established itself at the emotional heart of the repertoire of Orchestras across the county alongside Coleridge-Taylor's Bouyant and Jovial Bamboula Symphonic Rhapsody in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the composer’s birth.
