The 27th Oxford Literary Festival, which opens on Saturday 16 March, welcomes some of the world’s greatest thinkers, writers and public figures including two Nobel Prize winners – Professor Sir Paul Nurse and Professor Sir Venki Ramakrishnan; UK and international novelists – Paul Lynch, Ali Smith, Javier Cercas, Ann Cleeves, Nathan Hill and Bianca Bellová; from politics – Lord William Hague and Sir Chris Bryant, and public figures including Sharron Davies and Dr Amir Khan – with a series of debates and panels on the crucial matters of the day.
